Food Blogger Connect 2010- Thank You!

After a day of rest and recuperation, a myriad of emails, pictures and reviews of FBC 2010 to ingest and a quick bit of film editing to create the trailer for FBC 2010 (music by the musical genius Chris) I feel like things are somewhat back to normal.

I am so overwhelmed with all the positive comments, emails and the very comprehensive feedback many of the attendees have already shared via the FBC10 conference survey.

Over the last six months I have seen many sleepless nights. There were never ending days in front of the computer, countless hours of negotiations on the phone, thousands of emails sent back and forth, disagreements, budget issues and even at one point I managed to neglect, if even for a short while, this very dear blog; my real passion in life. So, I am absolutely over the moon that it all went so well and of course, there is always room for improvement. What I’m most looking forward to now is getting some sleep before it all starts again.

So, yes, I am very proud. I am also very proud of my team mates. I am so thankful for Hilda, her honesty and solid advice and her readiness to help with anything throughout the planning stages of the conference. A big thank you to Mowie, my dearest friend, who was always there to listen, who’s advice, support and encouragement I always cherish. Sari, thank you so much for jumping in at the last minute with such enthusiasm and dedication and Mayssam for taking the conference ‘live’ via your skillful live tweeting. You rock girl! Finally, my amazing husband Chris who was there the whole time and for all his help on the ground this weekend. You made the conference complete, baby.

To all the speakers, Meeta, Jamie, Hilda, Mowie, Jeanne, Jaden, Niall, Kerrin & Julia– You are all rock stars!

Once again, I would like to thankΒ  all the attendees as it was YOU that made this conference what it was. I wish everyone of you all the success in the future with your blogs and remember that the most important thing is to ‘Be Yourself’, “Have Faith”, and “Believe.”

And so my dear readers, here’s what happened at Food Blogger Connect 2010…

FBC 2011 is already in the planning and will take place the first week of June on the 3rd, 4th & 5th. There are plans for more things to happen before and during the conference so stay tuned! You can follow fbc happenings on Twitter via the FBC twitter handle @bloggerconnect. Also, check out our website and be sure to subscribe either via email or RSS.

P.S- More pictures from the FBC10 weekend can be seen here.

Much love xx

With tools like twitter and facebook, you and everybody’s efforts have gone far far away (even across the pond πŸ˜‰ and this event was much bigger than the number of people that attended in person.

You should have seen us outside the Firefly office with our faces stuck to the window on Friday, it totally encapsulated all the work in a few comical minutes.
